Package Pretty began in Houston, Texas in May, 1986. It was the brainchild of Linda Davis. Corporate gifts were wrapped out of her home until the first retail store was opened in November, 1986, in the famous River Oaks Shopping Center. The 500 square foot shop opened with only two lines of gift papers, six styles of gift bags, and seven ribbon colors. As the business began to grow, many more product lines were added. As the demand for our gift wrapping service increased, we follow our customers to the Tanglewood/ Memorial area, and on October 25, 1989 Package Pretty, Too! was born. Since our gift services so closely tie in with parties, and at the request of many customers, we began to add high-end party supplies. In November, 1992, Package Pretty & Parties, Too! was created and the 5000 square foot location was opened and includes over 100 product lines. Following Houston growth trends, our current store opened in May, 2005 in the Rice Village/ West University neighborhood. We anticipate continued growth and success, and owe it all to our dedicated employees whose value goes beyond measure. A heartfelt thanks to each and every one. |
